Finding Kukan

Finding Kukan is a documentary film (currently in production) that centers around the story of a 1941 Oscar-winning film called KUKAN. The film explores the lives of the original filmmakers and their distance relatives of today.

Nested Egg Productions (based in Kailua, Hawaii) hired us to film in a small town outside Atlanta, Georgia because the director was unable to make the trip. We were able to step in and provide a local director of photography to conduct the interviews and collect other footage essential to telling the story. A unique aspect of this production was that the director conducted interviews with documentary participants via remote video conferencing from Hawaii with the assistance of a local director of photography in Atlanta.
